Dumortierite is a rare mineral occurring typically as needles and fibrous masses. It consists of an aluminium and iron borosilicate. It is normally blue in colour but can also be brown, green and rarely violet or pink in colour. The pieces we offer are Dumortierite included in Quartz from the well-known Vaca Morta quarry in Brazil.
