Green Opal – Standing Sculpture

Origin: Madagascar

These rare and unusual stones vary in colour from pistachio, lime to bright apple-green, with some brown patterns. Opal is formed secondarily from the silicic acid gel containing iron and nickel, solidified by dehydration, it is rarely pure opal and usually contains a high proportion of quartz.

It is said that Green Opal helps to seek new perspectives of life, favours rest and regeneration when there is exhaustion by strenuous spiritual tasks, frees from fear and feelings of guilt, favours a peaceful sleep and helps us to be objective, in case of disorientation.

We are selling selected hand-polished pieces from Madagascar. The photos were taken in bright sunlight to bring out their best colours.
