Optical Calcite – Light Citrine Colour
Origin: Madagascar
Also known as “Iceland Spar”. Single Calcite crystals or cubes display an optical property called birefringence (double refraction). This causes objects viewed through a piece of Optcal Calcite to appear doubled.
This piece is a very nice light citrine colour. The photos were taken in bright sunlight to bring out their best colours.
